Birthday Fest Chicago 2010. Happy Birthday to US!!!

Happy Birthday to BJ and I!!!  It is our 33rd birthday and boy was it unforgettable!! What a great day.  Beej and I started out on the 95th floor of the John Hancock building.  They have a nice restaurant and we decided to treat ourselves.  We had great conversation, great views, and great food!
BJ and I with our fantastic views.  What a great time.
View straight down from our table
Today they also happened to be having a parade and celebration for the stanley cup winning Chicago Blackhawks. If you look at lower middle of photo, there is a road and at the top end of the road is a sea of red.  They had 2 million people show up for the party.  Downtown Chicago was completely crazy today!!  Happy people everywhere.  It was fun to be a part of it.
Another awesome view from 95th floor
We were there!!!
My birthday dessert.  Delicious Creme Brule. It was so creamy and yummy.
After lunch, BJ and I met up with Kristin and just walked around the city.  I absolutely love city shots so I got a ton of those.  We also went shopping at H&M.  I absolutely LOVE that store.  I spent 170.  Happy Birthday to me!
I thought this was a little unique, considering that it was almost 90 degrees outside today and extrememly muggy.  Falling ice was the least of our concerns.  Silly Chicagoans!!
Gorgeous city views!
Ok, more city views.  I love big cities!
Kristin, BJ, and I
More blackhawks celebrating.

Birthday Fest Chicago 2010 day 1

Downtown Chicago on my first day here.  It was a cloudy and chilly day.  I wanted to go out exploring before I met my friends for dinner.  It is a beautiful city.
I mean, obviously I have to do the token self portrait.
More views of downtown Chicago
Me at some random downtown fountain.  I am certain it has historical significance, but it is unknown to me.
Beej at our birthday eve dinner.  We went to UNO which is a delicious deep dish pizza joint. I had two pieces.  I was stuffed.  It was so incredibly great! Thanks Beej for dinner.
The UNO pizza mansion. Yum
So, the Chicago Blackhawks hockey team won the Stanley Cup and the entire city was in celebration mode.  A lot of the buildings had changed their lights to red. I love big city sports.
These lions are outside Chicago Art Institute and they definitely have Blackhawk pride!!
BJ and I on the bridge over the Chicago river.  It was a really nice night.

Seriously So Bugged

So, I got this notice in the mail the other day.  I am so completely bugged about it.  It basically says that I could get a class B misdemeaner and pay $1000 fine for animal cruelty for leaving my Jackie in the car on a hot day.  The reason I am bugged is that whomever called animal services on me failed to mention that my car and A/C were both on.  Jack was definitely not suffering.  My dog is NOT abused or mistreated!  Give me a break!

Comic is Pickles by Brian Crane
I saw this comic and could not stop laughing.  I remember feeling the same way when I was a kid and my mom would tell us we had to write in our journals so that we could look back one day and remember our experiences.  Now however, I love to write about all my experiences and share photos of the fun things I am doing in my life.  It is so much fun to look back and see what things I have done.

Just When You Thought There Couldn't Be More Hawaiian Fun

Gorgeous Night

Hotel Pool. Lots of fun here.
One of my favorite things.  This is a electric bidet that is attached in the toilet.  I laughed every time I used it.  Cracked me up.

Even More Hawaiian Fun

Views of the beach at the resort

My favorite thing to do while I was in Hawaii was lay in this hammock and relax.  I read some great books with the sounds of the ocean as my background noise.  The waves were crashing not two feet from me.  The most peaceful place on earth.  I absolutely LOVE this place.  So incredibly amazing.

More surfboards. I just can't get enough.
