this is the spice market which istanbul is famous for

leeches?  really?  is it really necessary to sell leeches on the street in istanbul? eek.

i cannot imagine buying green onions after stray cats had been laying on them.

this guy tried to sell me this amazing turkish rug.  i would have been tempted too, if he wouldn't have started at the cheap asking price of $2600. is he crazy?

we were in istanbul during ramadan, so there were tons of fun festivities going on at night
