emergency nurses conference: san diego

my friend jamie and i are in san diego for the weekend, and what a beautiful weekend it is! jamie is here for the emergency nurses conference.  i am here because she has a free hotel and, my airfare was paid for by frequent flyer miles. thank you very much delta airlines!  yay for almost free trips!! today i spent the entire day acquainting myself with the gas-lamp district and the boardwalk.  for some reason, on this crazy weekend here in san diego, they have crazy record-breaking temps.  it is over 100 here today.  so stinkin hot.

i found the coolest spot in all of san diego, the grass by the sea.  the breeze was helping.

there is a guy who balances all of these rocks by the sea.  pretty amazing
