life of a cruise ship nurse: sitka, alaska

in the tender on my way to sitka!  i sat next to one of the stewards on the ship and we had a great time talking. even though he is giving me a crazy look

coolest thing ever!  en route to sitka, there was a seal in the water eating a salmon. obviously the seagull was there for any leftovers.

afterwards he was headed back into the water.  seriously made my day to see that!

trammmmmms

only the best crab legs i have ever had. ok, the first crab legs i have ever had and they were delicious!

funny story behind this one. we stopped here so donna could get some crab legs.  i could not afford them since one order was like $44. we sat at the bar of the shack and i told the guy there had to be a leg that i could have that had been over-cooked.  he looked through them all and handed me that one.  it was so incredibly good.  i loved it.  i have a new found love of crab legs.  but will probably only eat them on the coast.

tracy's crab shack. best.crab.on.earth.

finally we stopped at the red dog saloon and listened to this grandpa sing and play the piano.  i love his tip jars. viagra fund and balding/liver transplant fund.
what a fantastic second day in juneau.  what a cute little town.
