life as a cruise ship nurse-venice, italy

i am in venice, italy about to embark on the ms nieuw amsterdam for another fun-filled couple weeks as a cruise ship nurse.  i am so stinkin excited for this cruise. it should be great. however, because of rules,

i did not know if i would have another chance to get into venice before we sailed, so my friend christy and i awakened bright and early and headed into venice at 5am.  there was nobody around. it was nice to see venice without all the people in my pictures.

the sun is finally coming up.  we had to be to the ship by 9am, so our early morning was rushed.

little did i know that i would be able to get back off the ship later that same afternoon.  christy and i enjoyed some delicious gelato. i am in love.
