Jack loves the water

One of my favorite things to do with Jack is take him to the lake. He absolutely loves to play in the water and I love to watch him. He is completely entertaining. He loves rocks. I do not have any idea why he loves them so much, but he does. He is the easiest dog to get treats for. All I have to do is find a rock and he is completely happy for hours on end. I wish I knew what was going through his mind when he was playing with them. You would think he would try to catch a fish or something...nope....just lookin for rocks.

Journey of 240 miles.....

I decided to take a completely random road trip with Jack. I set off from Eden with absolutely no plan in mind. I headed around Pine View and up as if I was going to Monte Cristo. My first stop was at Causey Dam. It was an absolutely beautiful day up there. Jack loved the water.

But not the geese. You can see him trying to get away from them here. What kind of bird dog are you??From Causey, we headed East on the 39 and ended up in Randolph. There is absolutely nothing in Randolph......except for a sign that says Bear Lake 30 miles. Off to Bear Lake we go.
We found a nice little beach and I let Jack swim for a while and I just waded my feet. Man bear lake is COLD!
No trip to Bear Lake would be complete without stopping for a Raspberry Shake. I found a little place in Raspberry square and got a delicious shake. Jack was more than happy to share it with me. I next headed through Logan canyon to go back home when I decided to make one more detour. From Logan canyon we turned onto this little dirt road that took us into the middle of nowhere. It literally took us into Idaho. But, once there, I realized it was completely worth it. We found the most beautiful fields of wildflowers ever. I could not resist taking literally hundreds of photos. These are some of my favorites.

Waterskiing

We had a family waterskiing activity today at Pine View. It was an absolutely beautiful day. Could not have asked for a better day at the lake. Tom and I got to ski as soon as we got on the water, and the lake was glass. It was fantastic. We then all went up and ate a delicious lunch of hot dogs, watermelon, strawberries, carrots, and peaches. I love summer bbq's. After lunch we found the best rope swing ever and we all played on it all afternoon. It was so much fun. What a great day at the lake.

I went Dark.....for me.

So, I decided to do something a little drastic with my hair. It was very scary for me to do, and I still am trying to get used to it, but I think it will end up being fun. I just got to the point where I did not want to pay to get my hair colored every 6 weeks. I figured if I just dyed it darker, then when it grew in, I would just let it go. We will see how it goes. However, I do like myself better as a blond. I don't know how long this will last. We will have to see. Hmmmm.

7/8/09. Seriously, I honestly have nothing to say really, but I just think that today is one of the coolest dates ever. Today would not be a bad day to get married.  Maybe I will have to plan my wedding with one of these dates in mind.....until next year on 8/9/10. So, until next year......

4th of July

Today was an absolutely fantastic day! I LOVE the 4th of July! I had to work this morning from 6am to 4pm. So, I guess my day became fantastic after that. I mean, work wasn't bad, but what can you say? I was at work on the 4th of July.

My friend Christy and Kai and I went up to the parentals and had a bbq. It was the most beautiful day. It was sunny and the temperature was absolute perfection. After the bbq, we watched one of my most favorite movies. 'The Ultimate Gift'. It is such a great movie. It has such a great moral and makes me cry every time.
Then we headed to Pine View for the main event. We went out with Reid and Val on their boat to watch fireworks. We met up with Cory on his boat and tied ourselves together in a little cove (along with probably 50 other boats).
We watched the fireworks from the boat. It was absolutely beautiful! I love how the fireworks are reflecting off the water and with the moon, what more could you ask for. It looks so amazing.
It was honestly one of my favorite ways to see the fireworks ever. It was so much fun. Happy 4th of July!

3rd of July

I absolutely love the 4th of July. It seriously has to be one of my favorite holiday's. I love how the 4th is celebrated. I LOVE bbq's. I think they are one of the best things you can do in the summertime. I absolutely love fireworks as well. I think they are completely mesmerizing and romantic. They are beautiful as they light up the sky. I love our freedoms. I am so thankful for all the men and women who have fought for our country. I am thankful for our founding fathers who wrote some of the most important papers in the history of mankind. I am so blessed to live in this land of America. Today I enjoyed a bbq with several of my best friends and then afterwards, we went up to Eaglewood Golf Course and enjoyed a night of music, dancing, and fireworks. I had an absolute blast. It was such a great night. I am excited to continue this celebration into tomorrow.
